Last week I went to Amsterdam so I could finally paint the Summer in the city!

This week started a new painting of my own neighbourhood Lombok in Utrecht. It's a slightly larger canvas than I usually work with outdoors, so I had to finish it today.
I really love the old little white bridges at the canal near the Rijksmunt. I decided to paint next to the bridge so I could use the first bridge as a frame to make an interesting composition. At least that is what I think, I hope you agree with me....? 

As soon as it's dry I will try to exhibit it in the exhibition at the Parkhuis Lombok in the JP Coenstraat 5 so you can all enjoy this one.

Starting the 1st of april I installed a new Window Display exhibition at  Parkhuis Lombok. 
Where 34 of my paintings are exhibited, seascapes and cityscapes, 10 of them you can enjoy day and night in the window display. If you like to see them all, please make an appointment.

Last summer I was asked to make a painting in commission for a family. They were planning to leave their so beloved neighbourhood. And asked me to capture their house in the surrounding, so they could keep this sweet memory and bring it to their new home. 
Always exiting to make a painting in commission, yesterday when I presented the painting they were very happy with the end result. I am thrilled because they also bought another painting of the neighbourhood I painted about a year ago. 
What a great moment and big pleasure to see them happy with both paintings! 
I know these two paintings of mine found a great and warm new home  :-)

Last week had the chance to paint these young optimists on a hot and sunny day. Had to grab this last opportunity and paint the boats on my favorite canal. Last day this summer for the sailingschool Zeilschool Lombok Utrecht. Was great fun to see these youngsters sailing and paint them! By the time I finished the painting and made this picture they were gone.
