Do you love the Dutch cloudy skies just as much as I do...? I just can't get enough of it and love to paint them and master this subject. I thought the time is just right to start giving painting lessons to you and share the knowledge I have built over the last 10 years painting these lovely Dutch cloudy skies 'live' outside at the beach and also in my studio from pictures. Love to help you with improving your painting skills.
I paint with oil paint, but if you like to work in a different material that's fine with me. Or maybe this is just a great moment for you to change your material to oil paint and experience this. The great thing about oil paint is that it's not drying so quick so you can work and correct it more easily, and mix colors on your painting as well, another advantage is that the colors stay more vibrant than acrylics when they dry.
Bring your own favorite picture of a cloudy scene that inspires you which you would love to paint.
And I would love to teach you how to do it or help to improve your existing painting skills.
How do you start the painting, composition, which feeling in the picture would you like to express or maybe exaggerate? Mixing the right colors for the sky, how to create a great perspective and the feeling of the distance, painting the light in it, how to make it a lively painting. And how to become more free in your own painting style and have less fear. As an impressionistic painter I would love to teach you how to do this!
